"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers" (Psalm 1:1). Company matters, and we are encouraged to follow the only true righteous one, Jesus! No one else, but Jesus!
"Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad" (Proverbs 12:35). Here's a good word: "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). No one else, but Jesus!
I think the greatest weakness in the church today is that almost no one believes that God invests his power in the Bible. Everyone is looking for power in a program, in a technique, in anything and everything except where God has placed it: His Word.
