Confidence in the Gospel

If you have been in despair, busted and disgusted in a world that has seemed hostile to the gospel congratulations you’re not alone. But would you believe God will you use your suffering for His glory? You many know that, but in the midst of suffering do you believe it?

In this message we learn the early church in Corinth needed to know that their faith would require suffering, but that it would be for the glory of God. Christians today need to know they are the light in a dark world that God uses for His glory despite the suffering and misperception of the world. Therefore believers must understand these are five areas of confidence in the gospel.

  • Believers should have confidence in God’s power (2 Corinthians 4:5-8)
  • Believers can be confident that suffering reveals Jesus (2 Corinthians 4:9-11)
  • Believers can be confident God will preserve them through suffering (2 Corinthians 4:13-14)
  • Believers can be confident suffering benefits others while glorifying God (2 Corinthians 4:15)
  • Believers can be confident of future salvation (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)
